Sport is a major part of Manx life, from high-speed road racing in the form of the TT, through to lower profile but just as demanding events such as the Parish Walk.
New to the Isle of Man in May 2016, Isle of Man Cyclefest is presented by the Isle of Man Bank and will be based in the North of the Island. For 3 days the Milntown estate will be home to challenges, and cycle-based activities for cyclists young and old.
In addition to the cycling activities there will be a range of festival-style events including live music, activities for all the family and lots of local produce and food options to keep you going.
As well as the festival itself there will also be the Pearl Izumi Tour Series hitting the streets of Ramsey to open the weekend's events. The next day will be "The Battle of Sky Hill" for mountain bikers and the "Storm the Tower" hill climb. During the weekend there will also be the 80 Mile "Gran Frodo" covering not only closed roads, but un-surfaced forest roads.
