Food is an important part of Manx culture and no visit to the Isle of Man would be complete without a visit to one of the many high quality restaurants located around the Island.
In recognition of the importance of quality food to the Island, the IOM Food and Drink Festival is now in its 8th year. It will be held in the Villa Marin Gardens on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September 2017. The Festival is supported by Shoprite and in association with Manx Radio who will be broadcasting live from the festival.
Celebrity chefs are very much a staple of the event and household names such as the Hairy Bikers, Gino D'Acampo and James Martin have attended in the past to do presentations. In addition there are also over 40 exhibitors with a range of products on offer. The event is becoming more popular every year and with over 5600 visitors attending in 2014 and spending £110,000 at the event it is a major part of the Manx calendar.
In addition to the food there is also a bar serving a range of Manx Ales from local breweries such as the Hooded Ram Brewery. Tickets for the event are available at the Manx Welcome Centre in the Sea terminal, as well as the Villa Marina and Gaiety Box offices.
