Manxcachefest

Manxcachefest or "Feish ny Cashyn Manninagh" is a week-long festival of geocaching on the Isle of Man offering geocachers the chance to experience some of the Island's legacy, wildlife and beautiful countryside. As well as local geocachers the event is expected to draw in lots of UK visitors looking for a new challenge.

With over 700 geocaches on the Island there are plenty of trails and routes to follow and organised events will keep everyone busy, especially as it even includes a night session in a forest.

Over the week there are 9 events scattered throughout the Island and Manxcachefest offers a range of activities. These include the standard hikes through Manx countryside where you can explore local sites and places hidden away from the average visitor.

There are also more specialist events planned such as the chance to learn some Manx at Tynwald Hill or do a little Wallaby watching at The Curraghs. You can even take a dip in the sea with an event at Port Erin beach. In this way Manxcachefest will be a truly unique event, both for the Manx community taking part, and any geocachers visiting from off-island.

Further information can be found on the Manxcachefest website.
