Offering a unique and different type of holiday in the Isle of Man, Smeale Farm Cottages are located on a working sheep and cereal farm. The cottages are based in the north of the Isle of Man and are conveniently located just a mile away from the beach and the Ayres National Nature Reserve.
The 4 Star rated cottages have double glazing and oil central heating throughout. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided, although they ask you to provide your own beach towels. The cottages are child friendly and come with everything you need from a cot and highchair available free of charge. They try to keep the cottages allergy free and apologies it is not possible to accommodate pets.
There is ample off-road parking for 2-3 cars and each cottage has a lockable shed ideal for the storage of bicycles.
Smeale Farm Cottage
Smeale Farm Cottage used to be for the farm workers on Smeale Farm and was converted to holiday accommodation in 1996. It’s elevated position in the center of the farmland offers panoramic views across the Manx countryside.
The 3 bedroom cottage has a double bedroom, twin bedroom and a single bedroom. Also, a bathroom with a bath and an electric shower and a separate toilet. The private garden comes complete with chairs, picnic table and a washing line. There is parking for 2-3 cars and a lockable shed should you wish to bring your bicycle or fishing tackle.
It’s fully equipped with a kitchen and dining area and comes with the usual appliances you would expect away from home. After spending the day visiting Isle of Man attractions, why not unwind in the comfort of the living area, light the coal fire and watch some TV with Freeview. DVD’s, books, games and magazines are also available to help you relax. Logs and coal are provided.
Bedrooms have been furnished with the emphasis on comfort. The master bedroom has a wrought-iron double bed and a solid oak bedroom suite. The twin bedroom and single bedroom, both have traditional wood furniture.
Thie y Ribbeyder Cottage
The 2 bedroom detached farm cottage includes a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. It was completely renovated and extended in 2006 to a high standard and won the Isle of Man Government’s Gold Award in 2015 for the sixth year running. The accommodation is wheelchair friendly with it’s wider than standard doors and level access via the front and patio doors and has been designed to be accessible to everybody.
There is off-road parking for 2-3 cars and a lockable shed, again ideal for storing bicycles.
The dining area and kitchen are spacious and very well equipped for a relaxing holiday in the Isle of Man. Patio doors open out from the dining area out onto the bricked patio with table and chairs.
The large lounge area offers a place to relax and comes with TV with Freeview, DVD’s, books, games and magazines. Relax in the large lounge with comfortable suite, digital colour TV with Freeview, DVD, antique chest, lamps, books, games and magazines.
You will find a wrought-iron double bed in the Master bedroom along with a wonderful antique wardrobe and reading lamps. The twin room contains wrought-iron beds, traditional wood furniture and reading lamps.
The shower room has been designed to be accessible for everyone and offers a non-slip floor, fold-up wooden seat and grab rails. Suitable for guests with limited mobility The room also contains a toilet, washbasin, heated towel rail and shaving point.
