The hills of the Isle of Man are a perfect location to try your hand at mountain biking, with a range of terrain from single lane paths through to true off-road routes and even a mountain to face and defeat.
If you want a challenge to build your trip to the Isle of Man around, while seeing the famous countryside, then the Manx 100 could be the perfect event for you. Based on natural trails and with minimal support the 100 mile course challenges every level of rider.
The full 100 mile course includes 1600 feet of ascent and the fastest riders are expected to take around 11 hours to complete the course. If you fancy a slightly easier challenge there is the shorter 100 km course. This includes 3500 metres of ascent and the first finishers are expected at around 7 hours. For either route self-sufficiency is key and good planning will be vital.
The Manx 100 will take place on 28th July 2019.
