Many people visit the Isle of Man for its motoring heritage. If your trip is based around an event such as the annual TT races, or even if you just enjoy that aspect of the island, then a visit to the Jurby Transport Museum, or Thie Tashtee Arraghey Yurby, may well fit into your schedule to enhance your holiday.

Based in Jurby in the North of the Island, the Museum is set in a former RAF Aircraft Hanger built in the winter of 1939-40. Housed in the hanger are buses, cars and wagons, as well as rail vehicles which are of particular interest if you enjoy using the Manx Heritage Railways during your holiday on the Isle of Man.

During your visit to the museum you can visit the on-site shop made from the former Douglas Bay Horse Tram for souvenirs of your visit. You will also get to see a number of vehicles in various states of restoration and see the painstaking process that goes into preparing and maintaining exhibits for the museum.

After you are finished in the Jurby Transport Museum you are in a perfect location to visit the island's newest museum, the Isle of Man Motor Museum, and view the Cunningham Classic Cars collection stored there.
