Details

Events for all abilities

Saturday 27th July 2024

  • Saturday 27th of July will open with the UCI Individual Time Trial taking in the climb of Snaefell Mountain on the infamous Isle of Man TT motorcycle racing circuit. The Parcours covers just 9km but should not be underestimated, with a total of 400 metres of climbing to overcome.
  • The free-to-enter Isle of Man Creamery Minisculo Fondo features on the schedule on Saturday afternoon. The family-friendly event, held over a half-mile circuit in and around Ramsey’s Mooragh Park is open to children, families and beginners with participants completing as many laps as they want in an hour’s worth of riding in a safe, fully closed roads environment.

Sunday 28th July 2024

  • Sunday 28th of July is headlined by the main Gran Fondo event. Competitors in the Gran Fondo will have the chance to earn the right to represent their country in the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Trento, Italy. The 137km parcours features over 1900meters of climbing, as it circumnavigates some of the toughest terrain the Isle of Man has to offer. Riders will have to overcome gradients of over 25% on the climbs, a number of technical descents as well as a 2km gravel section as they navigate their way around the closed roads route.

  • Running concurrently with the Gran Fondo will be the 72km Medio Fondo and the 32km Piccolo Fondo.  The Medio Fondo is for recreational riders who want to test themselves that little bit further, and features one of the Island’s most challenging ascents – as well as one of its very best descents –offering riders the perfect balance of effort and reward.  Aimed at families and beginners, the Piccolo Fondo winds its way around the flatter farmland of the Island’s northern plains, through a patchwork of tiny villages and church steeples, set amongst the fields and blooming hedgerows.
