While the temptation during a visit to the Isle of Man is to stay in the larger and more popular areas such as Douglas, with its high concentration of restaurants, cinemas and heritage sites, other areas of the Island also have plenty to offer you and your family during your holiday.
Set in the North of the Island in Ramsey is the 40 acre Mooragh Pleasure Park. Originally opened in 1887 the site included many of the attractions it still does today. These include a 12 acre boating lake, tennis courts, bowling green and crazy golf course to keep you and your family entertained.
In addition should you get hungry during your visit there is a cafe on site to keep the family fed after a few hours sailing or canoeing round the lake.
Afterwards Ramsey town centre has plenty of other attractions to offer including the Island's only 10 pin bowling alley. Alternatively a ride on the electric railway will bring you back to the Island's capital Douglas, for a range of dining and entertainment options.
