The Isle of Man is known for both its countryside and its wildlife. With creatures as diverse as Basking Sharks and Dolphins regularly spotted off the coast there are plenty of native species to keep an eye out for. If during your visit you and your family fancy viewing something a little exotic then the Curraghs Wildlife Park has you covered.
Based in the North of the island, halfway between Kirk Michael and Ramsey, it's ideally situated for a visit while exploring part of this island, or even as part of a dedicated trip for the day.
As well as the chance to view a wide range of animals including Penguins, Elk and Owls, they also offer "animal experiences". These last between 20-30 minutes and are suitable for adults and children. These events give you the chance to get hands-on experience with the animals as well as feeding them.
After a day exploring the park you and your family will no doubt be hungry so the lakeside Cafe, situated with a view out over the Flamingos on the Lake and Spider Monkeys on the island, has you covered. With an extensive menu of hot and cold meals and snacks, and with main meals prepared fresh to order you can be sure of a great day out for the entire family.
