Isle of Knox 2025/26
Throughout 2025 and 2026 visit the Isle of Man to gain experience and understanding of Archibald Knox, the great designer and artist. In partnership with the Archibald Knox Forum and Manx National Heritage there are a number of Exhibitions, Talks, Workshops, Walks and the self-guided Knox Trail taking place all through 2025 & 2026.
As part of the big event the Manx Museum will feature an exhibition from 5th April 2025 to 1st March 2026. Knox pieces are being supplied by many sources thanks to, Manx National Heritage, third party museums, dealers and personal collectors. In the past there have been significant exhibitions of Knox in the UK and the USA but this event will be larger, and more comprehensive. It will showcase Knox, his work and the Isle of Man to the world from the vantage point of the island's importance to his work and spirit.
You will experience wonderful examples of his work, many currently in private collections or not on public display. You will also appreciate how this beautiful island's history, culture, spirituality and scenery inspired and motivated this great designer, artist and teacher.

THE ARCHIBALD KNOX TRAIL
The Archibald Knox Trail has been developed using QR code technology. By using the maps shown below you can plan a visit to see 27 places of Knox interest on the Isle of Man which contain over 60 items of his work, or details about his life.
For example, Braddan New cemetery is one of the 27 places but in the cemetery are 12 graves designed by, or associated with Knox.
As the website maps are of smaller scale than the actual physical map leaflet you may have to try capturing the scan a few times before being successful.
People of the Isle of Man, and visitors, can obtain free Knox Trail leaflets at visitors' centres, hotels, public houses and libraries.
Trail booklets can be purchased at the Manx Museum or via the The Archibald Knox Forum email - akforum@manx.net
