Rowany Golf Club

Established in 1895 in Port Erin, or Purt Chiarn in Manx, Rowany Golf Club is a 5774 yard long course on the South Western corner of the Isle of Man. As the starting point for the famous Isle of Man Steam Railway Port Erin marks a great place for all visitors to the Isle of Man, fans of golf or otherwise.

With great views out over 2 coasts this course provides a range of challenges due to the unique topography and natural hazards. While the course itself is a par 70 the later holes are notoriously tricky, pushing the cards of many unwary players over this score.

In addition to the regular games the Rowany Golf Club also hosts a number of competitions throughout the year. They also have a club house available offering bar food to enjoy after a day on the course.

After a day golfing you can then make the most of your visit to Port Erin. Milner's Tower, standing on the top of Bradda Head, is a great walk when the weather is good and provides magical views out to sea and back over the village itself. You could also stop in at the Erin Arts Centre which hosts competitions, plays, arts showings and much more.
