The Isle of Man is known for its rolling countryside and beautiful relaxing views. While it is also well known for its Motorsports action with events such as the SMCC Manxduro, and fitness events such as the Tough Mann Adventure Challenge, it also hosts a range of popular, if lower-key events throughout the year.
One such event is the Crown Green Bowling Festival held in June and September. Crown Green Bowls has been a popular pastime in the Isle of Man for many years and a range of clubs, both on Island and from further afield, will take part in the event.
One of the most popular draws for this event, which first took place in 1921, is the way that you can lose every game you play and still play 4 out of 5 days. This means that, no matter your skill level, you are sure to have plenty of game time during your visit.
After your matches there is plenty to do on Island with popular attractions like the Steam Railway running from Port Erin in the south through to Douglas in the east and giving you a great way to explore the Manx countryside and heritage sites.
