The outdoors is a big part of any visit to the Isle of Man. With rolling hills, a mountain to hike and wildlife all year round you are sure to spend lots of your time enjoying the countryside on your trip. Climbing is a popular pastime on the Isle of Man and one you and your family may want to take part in during your trip. With almost 100 miles of coastline there are plenty of outdoor locations and clubs willing to help you out.
If you prefer to have a go at climbing indoors then Hot Rocks Climbing in Douglas, the capital of the Isle of Man, is ready to help you out. With over 2000 square foot of climbing wall, and 2000 resin moulded climbing holds, the climbing wall is ideal for complete beginners through to seasoned outdoor climbers.
In addition to general open sessions for day visitors if you just want to pop in during your holiday, the club also runs regular events such as a weekly master class or kids club. Then, once you have mastered the safer indoor approach, you may be ready to face some of the more rugged Manx outdoor climbing locations.
